Subject:A contest!
Time:11:27 pm
The following is a list of seemingly-random items. If you're the first person to tell me what they have in common (or get very close), I will donate $20 to the charity of your choice. The contest closes Friday at noon, or when someone provides a correct guess.
  • Twenty one-dollar bills
  • A travel guide to Oahu
  • Six rechargable AA batteries
  • A pink clothespin
  • Sixty pounds sterling
  • A SCSI CD-ROM drive
  • A kangaroo scrotum
  • 512MB ram
  • A box of rubies
  • Two gum erasers

All comments are screened until the contest end date. Void where prohibited by law. Your mileage may vary. I reserve the right to veto any charity whose ends I fundamentally oppose. Don't put that in your mouth. One entry per person. Judge's decision is final. Didn't I tell you not to put that in your mouth?

Things in your desk drawer/on your desk.
Things in a moving box you never unpacked until now.
Things removed from Richard Gere's anus.
PASS!

The things remaining in a travel bag.

The stack of one-dollar bills are have handy for tips.
Travel guide because you went to (or were thinking of going to) Oahu.
Batteries for various battery-powered travel devices.
Pink clothespin for drip drying things in your hotel room.
Sixty pounds sterling - part of a foreign money stash that lives in your travel bag.
The box of rubies is for geocaching. Maybe the erasers too.
The rest (scsii drive, ram, kangaroo scrotum) are just the random remains of a prior trip.

You're burying a motor vehicle in the ground with strict instructions not to dig it up for fifty years (cf Tulsa) and those are the objets d'art you have decided to bury with it in the glove compartment.

This would be the periodical "excavation of the workspace", then?

(the last time I did that, I found a DC bus bar)

They were all in one place in your life. I'm guessing either your glove compartment or the top drawer of your desk.

Either "things removed from people's stomachs" or "things found in people's anuses". Eh, it might be pretty hard to shove a CD-ROM drive up your ass, but I've seen movies where . . . eh, nevermind.

Those are my guesses.

Sounds like the material list to a scene I negotiated a while back.

Or maybe not.

And what's wrong with putting that in my mouth?

I'm torn between:

1) things in Patti's backpack

or

2) "fuck if I know"

By the way, your LiveJournal is the fourth result up when Googling "pink clothespin".
