Have you ever seen this movie? It's an oddball semi-sequel to the Rocky Horror Picture Show. It's set in Denton, has Brad and Janet (though played by different actors), Ralph and Betty Hapshatt (half shit!), and several members of the cast from Rocky. It's more than a little bit kinky, though I didn't really pick upon that aspect of it when I first saw it in high school. (Hey moloko0velocet, it has a jail cell, straitjacket, gag, and Nell Campbell as a naughty nurse in a microscopic skirt.)

This movie is weird-- really what-were-they-smoking strange. It tries too hard, and doesn't quite succeed-- I don't think it's possible to be a cult film intentionally. Nonetheless, I've always had a soft spot for the movie and this is one of my all-time favorite songs. I love Jessica Harper's voice.

Shameful confession: when the kids were both babies and I was having trouble getting them to sleep, sometimes I'd run out of lullabies and fall back on

"Night, night, it's time for bye-byes
it's been a great day thanks a heap
Now it's time for everyone
To go to sleep..."

Because it was one of the few lullabies I knew. Needless to say, I didn't use the first stanza, the one that starts, "You've got blood on your hands and everybody understands, you're no good..."

I'm also especially fond of Little Black Dress. I actually ripped my MP3s for this from the vinyl!

(Great, now I'm gonna have "Denton! Denton! You've got *clap!* no pretentions! You're the most acceptable place! For the human race!" stuck in my head all damn day.)

Really? That's the wrong song to have stuck in your head. Let me help:

Dear blender, won't you help a first offender
Oh toaster, don't you put the burn on me
Refrigerator, why are we always sooner or later
Bitchin' in the kitchen or crying in the bedroom all night?

You're welcome.
