Subject:What to do with my haircolor
Time:12:12 am
As I reported a while ago, Manic Panic has stopped making Fuschia (sic) Shock gel. They still sell the creme formula, but it doesn't take or last nearly as long as the gel.

My options:

(1) Switch to creme and dye a lot more often
(2) Special Effects Atomic Pink
(3) Special Effects Virgin Rose
(4) Mix Atomic Pink and Virgin Rose to get an in-between shade
(5) Some other color
(6) Something else

I think the creme is right out, and no, I haven't been able to find any remaining stashes of the gel formula... I've tried. I have a few test streaks of Special Effects in my hair right now. Atomic Pink is a bit too light, and Virgin Rose is a bit too purple. The mixture is better than either color alone, but not right.

I think I'm solidly into Something Else territory at this point. I'm contemplating doing fairly thin layers or chunks of it in Atomic Pink and Virgin Rose, so that I wind up with a mix of colors rather than just pink (but still with the bottom layer being purple.) Something like this, but the streaks would be less pronounced since the colors are very similar. It would be a pain in the butt to do at home, but not much more work for my stylist since she's already working in very small sections.

Anybody have any other ideas?

Thinking about Limelight for my trip to Tulsa. With my hair color and amount of hair though, it's probably not going to happen.

I haven't met you so not really, although I lean towards Atomic Pink.

I think Atomic Pink and Joyride would give you a lasting color the same as what you have now (perhaps 2/3 to 1/3?). If you use the Virgin Rose, it sounds like it might start out that color, but then fade to super-bright pink with no hint of anything else.

My hair is 4 different colors right now - although not quite as bright. I love the effect when they are streaked!

I like the Virgin Rose. Specifically, I really like this combination of black and rose.

You shoulda done this as a poll :-) My vote is for Virgin Rose too.

This all reminds me of the Today Sponge episode from Seinfeld.

I know I'm being a silly goose, but what is your natural color?

Brunette, my favorite. Go with that for a while!

No way. The hair is my signature item, and it's the only thing preventing me from looking frumpy and middle-aged and boring.

1. We are middle aged. So it goes.

2. You're anything but boring regardless of hair color.

3. I don't know what frumpy means.

4. Brunette is the prettiest hair color.

5. You look good no matter what.

5. But go with what makes you happiest.
