Subject:Do you own a recumbent bike?

Does anyone a recumbent exercise bike? I'm contemplating selling the one I have and replacing it with a recumbent, but I'd like to try one out first. If you have one that you'd be willing to let me pedal away on for half an hour or so, please let me know.

Only if you're planning on being in MN.

I do in fact have one, which you are welcome to come try out. I live in Los Altos, which isn't super convenient, but at least beats NM.

We've got one, but you'd have to get to Vegas. While closer than NM, still not as close as Los Altos. =)

Since you were already offered a NYC bike, I will not offer you mine, but I must say that I love it. I always hated the upright bike.

I have used both types at the gym, and I am sure you will find the recumbent to be much, much more comfortable. You have to discipline yourself (not a problem for you, I know) to use a high enough setting that you get a good workout, though. It is easy to spend a half hour on the recumbent and barely work up a sweat if you have it on a low setting.

are set on recumbent bikes. And it's not just because they are easier to make aero.
