Check out this freakish image from this news story:

Holy crap! Her hand is twice the size of her head. Maybe using an ultra-wide-angle lens for this wasn't such a good idea?

Undoubtedly the photographer has a fancy MFA or similar degree in photojournalism.

I think a lot of the SFGate reporters and photographers carry G10s or G11s in addition to whatever else. I've definitely seen a lot of images on the site that came from those cameras, though the majority are 1Ds of various flavors or 5D Mark IIs.

I wonder if she pissed the reporter off and they used that one out of spite.

On the other hand, I've seen lots of appallingly bad photos on the site in the last couple of years. Maybe they're giving cameras to interns and sending them out.

It would be entertaining to submit this to Photoshop Disasters and see what they come up with. A lot of PSDs do seem like true disasters, but they often post something where I think "it's just a weird angle/lighting" and wonder if they have no imagination at all (that they can't conceive of how a person could naturally attain such a pose) or too much imagination (seeing things everywhere).
