Rest in peace, Tugger. You were my loyal companion and bestest buddy for nearly seventeen years. Never again will you curl up on my hip just-so and purr contentedly through the night, or show me that you can meow the word dammit when you litter box is not to your liking. No more will I have the pleasure of having you climb onto my lap while I type, content just to be near me, and I won't have to hide plastic bags anymore to keep you from chewing on them. I'll never bite my nails as you climb on the narrow third-floor window ledge, and I've had my last chance to scratch your chin in that way that you like so very much.
I will miss you, my friend.
