My stupidity

Back in the early 90s, I got a Unix workstation with a mouse. Since I'm a longstanding command-line weenie, and I resisted microsloth windows for a long time, the whole mouse thing was new to me. About a month after I got the workstation I started having RSI problems in my right wrist, and as they got worse I switched to using the mouse left-handed, after which my left wrist started having problems.

Lesson to self: do not use a mouse. The fingers-extended clicking position fucks up my wrists bigtime. I eventually switched to a touchpad, and haven't had more than very minor problems with my wrist since then.

On December 15th of last year (and yes, I remember the date quite clearly), I bought a Logitech wireless keyboard that included a wireless mouse, and decided to switch to the mouse for a while to see how it went.

I basically didn't sleep last night because my right wrist hurt so much. I have now unplugged the mouse and switched back to the touchpad, but I guess this is the universe's way of saying to me, "Hey! Dumbfuck! Don't do that!"
