I don't believe this!

I sit next to the woman who is serving as our office manager. She's normally a high school math teacher, but she's taking a year off from that.

Somebody gave her some Playdoh recently, in basic primary colors plus white. Last night I made a purple snail and left it sitting on her desk.

Today she was asking how I managed to get purple, since she didn't have any. "Did you mix colors?" Yes, of course. "What colors did you mix to get purple?"

I explained, then showed her how blue and yellow could be mixed to get green. She's now sitting at her desk trying out combinations of all of the colors. "Oh! I haven't done red and yellow yet! What will I get if I mix red and yellow?"

I despair for our educational system.
