Lala land

Greetings from the land of freeways with definite articles.

Friday night in SF I saw Mo Williams in 69 Stories. It's a hilarious one-woman show about her experiences coming out as kinky, and I highly recommend it. After the show, my date and I trotted off to Power Exchange, although it wasn't in our original plans. We just had to. :-)

That means I got home sometime after 2 a.m. and started packing, then had to get up at 7 a.m. to catch a flight.

Saturday night was my friends' housewarming party in Redondo Beach. They just bought a stunning house, and the party was great good fun. My costume consisted of my priest's costume with two books, one a book of gay men describing their first experience, and labeled Holy Bible, and the other a book about adolescence (something like From Boy to Man), labeled Hymnal. I bought them both based solely on their titles and subjects, but I opened the book on adolescence at random and started giving a sermon, and it turned out to be a truly stunning book. I'll write more about it later.

This morning I went out to Santa Monica and had lunch with an old friend, wandered around for a bit, and then went off to play at the Commerce for a bit. I wound up in a 3-5 nolimit game with a $200 buyin cap, and took $1200 out of it in four or five hours. The play was sooooooo bad.

Tomorrow morning it's off to the airport and back home. Yay! I hate LA.
