This trip has been an interesting combination of luxury and frustration.

I scored a first class upgrade for both directions. Yay! But the plane was nearly an hour late leaving San Francisco, and I had a shrieking infant in the cabin with me. Her parents should really think about recording her and selling the audio to alarm clock companies.

My rental car? A Mustang convertible. I had to stand in line for a bloody hour at the checkin counter.

The hotel room wasn't ready when I arrived, so I had to hang out and wait fo ra while. Yay for wifi. And when I finally got to check in, I'd been upgraded to a quite lovely suite. The desk chair in the bedroom? Aeron. I am not making this up.

I got paged by United this afternoon to let me know my flight had been cancelled. After 20 minutes on hold, they told me they booked me on the next flight out, an hour later. And I just got a page from them telling me that the new flight would be delayed by about an hour.

It was cold and rainy today, but I still managed to get in a lovely drive through Beverly Hills, including a stop at the Greystone Mansion. My meeting was just a few blocks from Rodeo Drive, so I drove through there before going to the office.
