Free lunch

My company offers free lunch every two weeks. Today is lunch day. However, there are several street food carts a few blocks away, one of which I'm particularly fond of, and don't get to eat very often. I looked at the lunch being provided by the company, and and it was edible but not something I'm terribly fond of. The food cart lunch is reasonably priced at $5.

If you were in my position, what would you do?

Do you take the mediocre free lunch or buy a yummy one?

I take the free lunch. Duh!
I'd much rather spend a few bucks for quality.

You may think at first I'm as mad as a hatter...

I think it's Boo & Peek. Skitter was a possibility, and Pounce was a dark horse. She does like to peek around corners-- she'll sit and watch me when I go somewhere, and she likes to peer over the edge of the cat tree waiting for her brother to go by. Then she pounces on him. My hall closets have curtains rather than doors, and she goes in there then peeks out from under to watch me go by.

I probably shouldn't say this, but I'm impressed by how much trouble they're not. I've never met kittens who didn't chew things up, shred them, steal things and hide them, or otherwise cause all manner of mayhem.

He's becoming very affectionate, and she's slowly becoming less skittish. They both tend to come hang out near my desk when I'm at the computer, and he'll meow at me and demand attention. That's pretty good progress for one month!

It's about time to take them to the vet and get them fixed, though. I should also figure out how old they are, since I have some conflicting information.
