I often give things away when they're still useful, but I no longer need them, and my neighbors often get first crack due to the ease of transport. Since I've lived here I've given away a TV, a scanner, a leather desk chair, a projector, and a few other things.

I got karmic payback today-- I just scored a perfectly functional treadmill from a neighbor.
