The kittens have just been relocated to the bathroom. The door is protected by a 36" board. There's a 20" tall box on the outside to help mom and dad get over-- neither one of them is a huge jumper. They can get back out through a bathtub->counter->over trajectory, or if they can't they can stay inside. Both sides are cat-habitable-- litter box, food, water-- so all should be OK.

Oh yeah. They also both seem to like dry food. Oops almost likes it better than canned-- go figure.

Oh, the bathroom thing

So last week I wrote about a bathroom capacity problem at my office.

The proposed solution is to swap the mens and ladies rooms. That would give the men a bathroom with two stalls, and the women a bathroom with one stall and a urinalplanter. This struck me as incredibly silly-- it slightly increases the capacity of the mens room, but cuts the capacity of the ladies room in half.

My recommendation is to make the ladies room co-ed, but they have to promise to sit down if they're going to pee in there. Men can still have all-male privacy for using the urinal, but now they have overflow capacity for when the mens room is full. The women don't lose much in the way of capacity, though they'll occasionally have to interact with guys while they're washing their hands.
