Technically speaking, if you are receiving information like someone else's name, mailing address, account number, how much they are spending for this account (or depositing, depending on what it is)…

Although the best part of mine was "We can't look up accounts by e-mail addresses, what's your phone number." "It's not my account" "Just tell me the name it's registered under."

I had a similar conversation with a credit card company who were sending me someone's bills. I eventually gave up.
