I was just grumpy at the world, and that someone who had stopped to help another human being had been killed because of it. Then I got to this paragraph:
Though it was determined Jackson had been drinking alcohol, the CHP reported that he was not under the influence at the time of the crash.
What the fuck? It sounds like the guy was probably driving too fast for the wet roads and fucked up, and I have no doubt that he'll regret it for the rest of his life. If they've decided that he wasn't under the influence, why mention that he'd been drinking and cast additional aspersions on his character?
