Chocolate Frozen Custard

2 cups milk
3/4 cup sugar
6 eggs
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons Ghiardelli ground sweet chocolate

Beat together eggs, milk, sugar, honey, and salt. Pour into a saucepan, and cook over low heat until the mixture coats the back of a spoon.

Plunge the mixture into an ice bath to cool quickly, and stir for a few minutes. Refrigerate the mixture for about an hour, or until chilled.

Add cream, vanilla, and chocolate to mixture. Follow instructions for your ice cream freezer.
