Home networked storage?

I just filled the drive on my home fileserver-- it's full of lots and lots of photos, plus music, backups, and you-name-it. I'm thinking that rather than stuff more drives into a ca. 1927 linux box (P3, I think... it's ancient) I'd get some sort of storage array. Ideally raid, ideally network-attached.

Suggestions? 300gb IDE drives are cheap. I can buy a single-drive NAS enclosure for under a hundred bucks, but that doesn't provide redundancy.

Edit: Oh my god. I can buy a Terastation for $650, with a terabyte of space. A TERABYTE for just over one buyin to a poker tournament. The world has gone mad.
