I fucked up.
I often make a big dish of something, have some for dinner, and then freeze the rest in individual servings. Mostly these get consumed quickly, but sometimes they accumulate in the freezer and die a slow, painful death.
I decided the other day that I was going to purge this crap out of my freezer. I let it thaw, and then one at a time I started putting the stuff down the garbage disposal-- chicken korma, beef stew, risotto-- all consumed by the monster that lives in the drain.
Now the monster has indigestion. It seems I put stuff through too fast, and clogged the pipes. The symptoms are that if I just let the water run, it backs up very quickly. If I turn the disposal on, water runs more or less freely, but as soon as I turn it off, some of the water backs up. It drains very slowly. I can run water with the disposal on for a long time, and it pretty much keeps running.
I'm assuming I just need to pull the trap and snake the clog out. Yes? Is there a way to cheat?
