While I was out running errands today I picked up some flowers. They're nothing special-- just a random bouquet that I grabbed at the grocery store.
Tonight I rigged up a macro studio and started playing. The first round of experiments turned out pretty horrible-- I learned that my sensor was amazingly dirty. (You learn these things at f/45). After turning the loft upside-down looking for my cleaning supplies, I de-dusted everything and shot a second round.
This is one of the more interesting ones, but it taught me a lesson-- I also need to clean my subjects. This flower looks grungy, but none of it is visible to the naked eye.
