This is how short my attention span is: I just went to YouTube to look something up. By the time I got there, I forgot what I was looking for.

I have a new favorite lunch. There are two good dirt-cheap carryout dim sum places in my neighborhood. Today I went into one of them, and everything looked so good that my brain froze-- I couldn't decide. "Just give me five bucks worth of whatever you pick out." Depending upon how hungry I am, that's a meal and a half to two meals. Today I discovered a curry dumpling that I was completely unaware of... tasty!

Three bad packrat habits:
  • Buying too much of something
  • Buying something that I have a use for, then setting it aside and forgetting to use it
  • Buying something, using it, losing it, then buying a replacement

I seem to have no concept whatsoever of how much of something I need. "Oh, cool. I'll buy half a dozen of those. I'll use them eventually." I found two sets of canisters that I bought for the kitchen then never took out of the box. I have three drills, a couple of hand saws, scissors coming out my ears, and I've found at least ten nail clippers so far. Yikes!

I still haven't started on the bookshelves yet. Soon!
