I decided that the storage area under the sleeping loft needed Big Honkin' Shelves built. So last week I hauled myself off to Home Depot for plywood and lumber. Last week before I left for Reno I got all of the wood cut.
Today it's all assembled, modulo a couple of support braces. Yay! I'm sure the downstairs neighbors loved the hammering, but it only lasted a few minutes.
One nice thing about the loft is that it has concrete floors. That means I can play construction goddess in the middle of the dining room, and when I'm done a quick once-over with a broom restores everything to normal. Plus, 12' ceilings let me flip a 10' shelving unit up on end on a whim.
I suppose this means that I should spend tomorrow organizing and actually putting things on the shelves?
