Most of the four-hour boat ride was cold, windy, foggy, and choppy-- excellent weather for getting seasick. I have a near-cast-iron stomach, and I rather enjoy bouncy boat rides, so I enjoyed small bits of schadenfreude as lots of people visited the stern to feed the fishies.
Did you know that whales have horrible breath? I didn't, but when we got a whiff of it today I thought I might join the crew at the rail. Luckily it passed quickly.
Some photos are here. They're not terribly good, but it's really freakin' hard to get the timing right when you're trying to catch these guys in motion.
