This is weird. Since I've arrived, three different people have stopped me on the street to ask me for directions. The weird part? All three times, I've given what I'm confident is a correct answer. One was a couple of women who were probably from India. Another were a couple of young Japanese woman.

The third was a woman from the English countryside. She was chatty, and within the next few minutes I learned where her husband works, how old her daughter is, about her last trip to America, and where she was planning to travel next. Oh yes, and what show she was going to.

I started my day in the usual London fashion-- I went to the TKTS booth to plan the day's shows. I'm doing a Billy Elliot matinee, and Priscilla Queen of the Desert this evening.

Last night, abostick59,wild_irises, slowjoe and I saw Waiting for Godot with Sir Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart. It was worth 11k miles of flying. The show was brilliant, and the two men clearly love each other dearly. The curtain calls alone were so charming that I wanted to run up on stage and hug them. I truly cannot imagine two better actors for that show.

I don't know what tomorrow holds. Theatres are almost all dark. Maybe the Gay Icons exhibit at the National Portrait Gallery, and/or the Tate Modern. Harrods perhaps.

Funny, the one time I was in London, the same thing happened to me: I got stopped about half a dozen times by random tourists asking for directions.

Maybe we just have that Midwestern approachability factor, even after all these years.

"Envious" doesn't *begin* to cover it.

You totally could have stolen the third woman's identity.

I am so glad we did this.

And I'll go to museums and shops with you in any interesting city any time.

Me too! And we should see Arcadia if it's ever anywhere nearby.
