The third was a woman from the English countryside. She was chatty, and within the next few minutes I learned where her husband works, how old her daughter is, about her last trip to America, and where she was planning to travel next. Oh yes, and what show she was going to.
I started my day in the usual London fashion-- I went to the TKTS booth to plan the day's shows. I'm doing a Billy Elliot matinee, and Priscilla Queen of the Desert this evening.
Last night, abostick59,wild_irises, slowjoe and I saw Waiting for Godot with Sir Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart. It was worth 11k miles of flying. The show was brilliant, and the two men clearly love each other dearly. The curtain calls alone were so charming that I wanted to run up on stage and hug them. I truly cannot imagine two better actors for that show.
I don't know what tomorrow holds. Theatres are almost all dark. Maybe the Gay Icons exhibit at the National Portrait Gallery, and/or the Tate Modern. Harrods perhaps.
