Subject:How to get rid of old DVDs?
Time:12:02 pm
I have a big pile of DVDs that I've realized I'll probably never watch again, and I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of them. I wouldn't mind seeing some money for them, or at least a tax deduction, but what's the best way of doing that?

I suppose I could sell them on Ebay, but they're worth maybe three bucks each and I'm not willing to go through the hassle for that. Selling them as a lot on Ebay probably reduces their value tremendously. I could donate them, but to what organization?

Anyone have creative ideas?

Friends of the Oakland Library or Friends of the Berkeley Library might take them.
(Just checked, the Oakland one does). And the Berkeley one gives you a receipt that you can fill in an amount for (presumably a plausible amount) and there's your tax deduction.

And while you're there you can shop for books at really good prices.
