We spent the day at the natural history museum looking at critters I wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley. Well, it *would* be kinda cool to be the first person to discover a live t-rex... for the few seconds before you got eaten. Still...
When we headed out of the museum to go to dinner, we somehow wound up in the back of a white stretch Hummer, complete with color-changing disco lights. The thing was utterly ridiculous... it seated like 15 people, or something insane like that. I giggled the whole way.
Somewhere in midtown Manhattan we found ourselves stopped for what seemed to be a very long time. I peered forward down the length of the limo and saw the driver talking to someone. Then S pointed out the badge, and looked back to see flashing red behind us. The only thing more ridiculous than cruising through NY in a stretch Hummer is your driver getting pulled over.
We had a lovely dinner at Craftbar, then headed to Keen's steakhouse to check out their scotch collection. They had over 200 bottles, including three Port Ellens and three Broras. I've never seen Brora in a bar before. The price was obscene, of course, but I only turn 46 once, right? It was deeeeeelightful, and the bartender was fabulous. I highly recommend the bar at Keen's. Next time we'll try the steaks.
