I don't think running is a good idea right now-- it's causing a lot of pain in my lower back. Why? Who knows. It seems pretty consistent, though.

Tonight I decided to spend time on the recumbent bike instead. I'm not sure I'm in love with it, but my back seems to hate it less. Sigh.

Are you doing anything to strengthen your abs? I know when my abs get weak, my low back responds with a lot of, er, backtalk anytime I do too much standing or walking.

Yeah, but I can't seem to find the overnight miracle strengthener.

I suspect that's the problem, possibly combined with impact stress.

Whatever gets the HR up. Ever try superman exercises? I use those and stiff leg dead lifts on a small platform to pretty good effect.
